The main competitor on Filecoin today is probably [Arweave](https://www.arweave.org/). Its biggest advantage that unlike Filecoin the data on Arweave is store permanently. However, it terms of total storage committed Filecoin is definitely a whale in the space. It has 16,000 PiB off storage committed in 2022.
